Paris is known as the City of Light and is one of the most romantic cities in the world. There are countless things to see and do in Paris, but here are some of the top attractions:

Eiffel Tower: No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You can take an elevator to the top for stunning views of the city. Read below for our personal experience and things to take care of.

Louvre Museum:The Louvre is one of the world's most famous art museums and is home to the Mona Lisa and many other masterpieces. Goes without saying, don’t miss to click photos outside the louvre museum.

Notre-Dame Cathedral: This Gothic masterpiece is one of Paris's most iconic landmarks and is currently being restored after a fire in 2019.

Champs-Elysees: This famous street is lined with high-end shops, cafes, and restaurants and is the perfect place to people-watch.

Visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is a must-visit destination for families with children. The theme park has many of the same attractions as the original Disneyland in California but with a distinctly European flavour. Some of the top rides and attractions include:

  • - Space Mountain: This roller coaster takes you on a thrilling ride through space.
  • - Pirates of the Caribbean: Join Captain Jack Sparrow on a swashbuckling adventure.
  • - It's a Small World: This classic attraction takes you on a musical journey through different countries.
  • - Disney Frozen sing along
  • - Ratatouille 3D experience

Explore the Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is one of France's most famous landmarks and is a testament to the country's rich history and culture. The palace was once the home of the French royal family and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Some of the top attractions include:

- Hall of Mirrors: This stunning hall is lined with mirrors and was once used for grand receptions and ceremonies.
- Gardens of Versailles: The palace's sprawling gardens are a must-see attraction and are filled with fountains, sculptures, and beautiful landscaping.
- Marie Antoinette's Estate: This separate part of the palace complex was the private retreat of Marie Antoinette and is a fascinating glimpse into the life of French royalty.

Our Personal Experience

  • 1. For Eiffel Tower, if you are purchasing tickets for the Eiffel Tower from an online portal make sure to check that you are buying tickets to the 2nd floor (the summit). Most people unfortunately, land up buying tickets to the 1st floor only and then either come back disappointed or pay extra on the spot which is a little expensive. It may be a good idea to take skip-the-line ticket during the peak season of summers.
  • 2. The seine river cruise is best enjoyed during the sunset you can also take a combo ticket of Eiffel Tower and seine river cruise for some extra savings.
  • 3. There are 2 parks in Disneyland Paris and hence you either purchase the premier ticket which allows you to skip the line for all attractions or you purchase a 2-day ticket because it’s just next to impossible to cover and enjoy all the rides and attractions in one single day since the waiting time in ques is on an average 45 mins to 1 hour.
  • 4. In general it may be good to be aware of your surrounding and be careful with pick pocketers. We were about to loose our wallet to a group of teenagers that looked like school going students at the subway station on the first day of landing in Paris.
